    Park University is MBS Direct's first customer

    MBS Direct fulfills the course material fulfillment needs of Park University's distance learning program (including the main campus and 28 military bases).

  • 2000

    The addition of the Automatic Storage and Retrieval system

    Automatic Storage and Retrieval (ASR) and Radio Frequency (RF) picking are added to the warehouse to shorten out-the-door time and increase capacity for distribution.

  • 2001

    Contact Center expansion

    MBS Direct expands the Customer Contact Center to better handle increased volume.

  • 2002

    Warehouse expansion

    As inventory demands increase, MBS Direct replaces one-story library with 3-tiered mezzanine system, doubling storage capacity and increasing efficiency with added automation.

  • 2004

    MBS Direct Service Center

    MBS Direct launches Service Center, the online tool for administrators to monitor all aspects of their Online Bookstore.

    Service Center expands as Online SFA and Course Director, the online adoption tool, are added.

  • 2006

    First generation of eBooks

    The first generation of eBooks become available to MBS Direct partners. At this stage, they are delivered as encrypted PDFs.

    The addition of the Beumer Crossbelt High-Speed Book Sorter streamlines order fulfillment with the capacity to process more than 20,000 books an hour with unmatched accuracy.

    Integrated SFA invoicing creates additional convenience for MBS Direct's partner schools.

    Integration with Student Information Systems.

    MBS Direct begins integration with Campus Management and other Student Information Systems.

    The MBS Direct Online Bookstore is introduced within Blackboard Learn

    The MBS Direct Online Bookstore is introduced within Blackboard Learn, allowing students to purchase course materials with even more convenience.
